Entryway to Joseph Stalin Memorial
AbstractExterior view of an entryway to a columned building which is situated over another structure of some sort. Location not given. According to Charles Thayer's curriculum vitae: "In 1955 I made an extended tour of European and Asiatic Russia and wrote a series for the Saturday Evening Post on post-Stalinist Soviet Union." Although not identified, this photograph is thought to have been taken during that trip. This may have been taken in Gori, Georgia which was located in the Soviet Union at the time. The image is believed to be Joseph Stalin's memorial and birthplace preserved in this manner.
