- The Friendship CaseThe Friendship Case, or Amicizia, is the name given to a claimed twenty-two-year contact between a group of Italians and a race of human-looking extraterrestrials who called themselves the W56. Beginning in 1956 and reportedly ending in 1978, participants said they ferried fruit and metals to underground and undersea bases scattered around Italy. No physical proof was ever produced, and the case survives almost entirely as testimony gathered by two of its chroniclers.
